Beija- Flor which translates into hummingbird is also one of Rio De Janeiro’s top Samba Schools that compete at Carnival! We encourage you to be your own Rainha do Bateria (the most important women at Carnival) and show off a little more of that beautiful strong body in this chic, sexy piece. This top has a transparent aspect which allows you to remain covered but add a touch of sexy to your swimsuit.
This also doubles as a great top to a pants/ shorts combo. Although some of the top is transparent when wet, there should be more than enough material to ensure your assets are covered.
This top also comes with our slider design to continue our sleek design. This bottom is not adjustable but some ladies prefer to roll the top strings down when tanning or to give a different look to the suit. We encourage you to do what makes you the most comfortable.
All sizes are based on any adjustable tops or bottoms in the smallest position. This gives not only freedom and adjustability of that piece, but also may allow someone who is normally accustomed to purchasing a different size top and bottom, not to have to do so. Individual cases may vary.
Although our sizing chart begins at a size 8, our material is a very strong but stretchy blend of polyamide and lycra thus allowing our ladies from size 0-8 to fit just fine in our size small depending on your personal taste. There is only a one centimeter difference between our sizes so suits may appear small in our packaging but our special blend allows for maximum comfort and stretch while maintaining superior strength. Our swimsuit material is a special blend of 90% polyamide and 10% Lycra.
Our material is purchased through a manufacturer that adheres to the coveted OEKO Tex Standard 100- which means our material is tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances. Remember, Malvada is a movement for women to feel confident and strong, your skin is no exception.
The OEKO certification applies to our swimsuit body material only. Any external pieces such as metals, plastics, rubbers etc. may not comply.
At Malvada Swimwear, we take quality control seriously—from the raw materials we select to every step of production and storage. To help your swimsuit perform and look its best for longer, please follow these care guidelines:
- Avoid ironing: Ironing can damage the fabric.
- Wash gently: Use cold water with a neutral soap, washing one piece at a time.
- Rinse after use: Clean your swimsuit after each use to remove salt, chlorine, and sweat.
- Hand wash only: Hand wash and hang dry; avoid using a washing machine or dryer.
- Dry in the shade: Direct sunlight can fade colors and weaken fabric.
- Handle with care: Do not soak or wring your swimsuit.
- Be cautious with chemicals: Keep it away from creams, lotions, oils, and other chemicals that may harm the fabric.
- Store properly: Never store wet garments in plastic bags.
Remember, elements like sun, sand, chlorine, sweat, lotions, and moisturizers can all compromise the fabric and colors. Taking proper care ensures your swimsuit retains its quality and durability over time.
Store credit will be given for any item that a return request has been submitted within 7 days of receipt of product. Swimsuits must still have hygienic liner in place and all products must be in original packaging, damage free and with all labels and seals showing no signs of use.
